Stream of Fram

The Stream of Fram is a protected hydrological natural monument. It springs in two places: under the Zarja mountain hut (1,050m a.s.l.) and the Krager mountain hut (1,080m a.s.l.). The entire stream is surrounded by metamorphic rock. It is especially interesting to see the 12m high waterfall in the upper part of the stream. The stream runs in its natural habitat all the way to the lowlands, that is to village of Fram. In the past, the stream was used for economic purposes. The windmill, sawmill and oil mill industry were well-developed, giving the place its special charm.
