Farmstay ŠTERN – “Pri Kovačniku”
In the north-eastern part of Slovenia on the Pohorje Massif, near the cities Maribor (18km) and Ptuj (25km), in the village Planica nad Framom (700m a.s.l) you will find the farm Štern "Pri Kovačniku". Slovenia's largest ski resort, the Mariborsko Pohorje Massif, is only 12km away.
The farm Štern "Pri Kovačniku" is intended for both stationary guests as well as unexpected visitors and hikers. They hold up to 60 guests. Traditional dishes from Pohorje made from recipes of their ancestors are served in an old farm room with a stoneoven. For transient guests, they cook every weekend, and upon prior arrangement also on weekdays – in any case they recommend that guests make a reservation.
Rooms are also available, they are furnished with solid wood in the local Pohorje style, and you can choose between two or four beds. Each room has an anteroom, a bedroom and a bathroom with a shower and a toilet. A comfortably furnished living room with a TV, library, magazines, newspapers, information material about the village and its surroundings, board games and toys. All intended for relaxation of both adults as well as children.

Organic excursion farm URANJEK – “Pri Baronu”
The family at the Uranjek farm is dedicated to respecting nature and our harmony with it. Their preservation of the environment, respect for animals, knowledge of herbs and handicraft skills will surely enthral you. Their lovely garden, the soft grass under your feet, the delectable smell of home baked goods, and the taste of Pohorje will surely tickle your taste buds. In the meantime, your children can play in the playground that includes swings, a sandpit, Russian skittles or ninepins, a slide, a football and a volleyball court. They can also spend time with our domestic animals, such as bunnies, chickens, the cat Tinka, the pony Liza, and the Vietnamese pigs Pika and Moly. The Uranjek farm can be described as an organic idyll under the Pohorje.
The Uranjek organic farm is located in a village called Planica nad Framom (near Maribor), in the midst of meadows, fields, orchards and forests. Their food is prepared with love – from the very seed to your plate. Upon your arrival you will be greeted with an aperitif and canapés. For lunch you can choose from our extensive menu, which includes vegetarian and vegan dishes. The food is entirely home-cooked, organically grown and freshly prepared, thus, “pri Baronu” requires prior notice.
In addition to lunches, you can also choose between “Pohorski pisker” (a stew with typical vegetables from Pohorje), ajdovi žganci (buckwheat porridge) with mushhoom soup, and – in the winter time - koline (sauerkraut, bratwurst, roast, beans with pork rinds...). If you have a sweet tooth, you definitely must try the Slovenian traditional pastry dish gibanica, apple strudel or potica, for unannounced visitors they have prepared in advance - cold cuts with dried meat products and tunka (meat dish).
They also have a colourful herb garden, so they recommend you try some of their home-made fruit liqueurs (sour cherry, blueberry, sage, mint, lemon balm, cherry) and in spirits-soaked herbs (nettle, wormwood). If alcohol is not your cup of tea you can also choose from a large variety of home-made juices (apple, sour cherry, currant, raspberry, elderberry, sage, lemon balm and min, linden and basil.
At the farm you can buy organic or processed products. The processed products have a certificate to show they are organic. Their offer includes vegetables, apples, pears, various juices and syrups, dried fruits, teas, liquors, spirits and eggs.
For all curious visitors they also organise a tour of the organic farm, herb garden, various creative workshops, lectures on organic farming and many more.

Tourist Farm PAPEŽ
We will charm you with our authentic local and home-grown food out of grandma’s kitchen. The recipes have been passed down for three generations. They are mouth-watering and simply delicious. We can accommodate up to 60 guests.
A selected assortment of high-quality wines with a geographical designation will indulge you and leave an impeccable impression of the vines of Morje pri Framu.
